autism - go on read on....

Well its Sunday and I have just got back from my Sons baseball practice and I met some really awesome women and Moms whose Sons are on the team and who have been diagnosed with highly functioning autism...You would never believe to speak to them or watch them interact with their team mates, but nonetheless they have it.Now I cannot give any more input, but to hopefully open the lines of communications and discussion about whether this increase of autism is attributed to all the shots we give our children at a young age or whether it is not related and it is just that we are able to diagnose it because we have better tests to monitor our children?Not sure, but either way, I want you to know that here at the belly bump bar, we want to hear both sides of the story and we want to support you no matter what you believe. To that point, we would like to put out the call for any Pediatrician, Doctor, Specialist, Mom, Dad, Grandparent who want to come and talk at the bar and let us know of their experience and if you can bring fact to back up any claim, even better. Or if you just want to come and speak about your experience and let other parents know that they are not alone and that you have been where they are and you understand!Please check out our calendar of events and if there is time that you think you can squeeze out for us...then email Julie or LaGayle or me (Sheralee) and come on down and speak there are people who will listen... I promise.
